A bolt of melancholy struck me. The things people do to earn a little more cash are really disgusting. And the implications that flow. Ugliness of the human spirit amplified.
Anyway it's been so damn fast.. within a blink of an eye (literary), the midterm break is nearing its end. In like 3 hours! Can't they just give the friday to us as well? It'll certainly make a real whole lot of difference to us and maybe the fee hike complaints might be dampened a little. Haha I really don't see the rationale of starting the week on a friday..
Sian my hp's been in coma for far too long. Ever since it had a blackout last week and I've been using my pda as a phone. Super troublesome and really looks dumb holding the pda like a phone and talking to it. So today I went to Singtel shop to look at new phones. I filtered everything that's above $100 haha and all that's left are the x660 and x200 samsung models. I'll prob get the x660 soon.

Ok time to dig up my tutorials and start doing. 2142 test looming next week again.

Just came back from a night trek at Macritchie with the odac peeps. I think we're a mad bunch of people, really. But it was fun! At least it made me recall the route from rifle range rd to macritchie, which I last did it in secondary sch. Like 7-8 years ago haha. We carried loads for the trek, in preparation for our tahan trek later in May. We then ended off with supper at Upp Thomson. Another great night during this midterm break.
Speaking abt the midterm break, it's been quite an enjoyable one honestly. It's nothing like the other 2 before this. The other 2 were plagued with midterm tests and assignments which made the "break" an irony. Met up with some of my JC classmates yesterday for a night's out and it was great meeting and catching up.. though all still almost the same haha. It was also quite timely la as kester was returning back to melb this saturday.
And for xphysique, let's just say we didn't get last nor were we near the first. Haha but we were somewhere in the middle i guess. All because of the stupid juggling station and the abseiling station which stole our time. Quite unfair in a sense. But it was fun! That's more impt hahaha.

Dishonesty woes
Dishonesty is always bad, for a mind in a rational state. But it has occured to me that it is sometimes involuntary; it is often accompanied by a huge dilemma, which is a tough balance of righteousness versus how important something is to you that you'd try all means to get it. A huge lot depends on the situation a person is in and his mental state of mind. When a person has been overfocused on achieving something for more than an hour, this dilemma will tend to tilt towards the latter, neglecting any other trains of thoughts while bent on putting his best effort. Dishonesty then comes in easily and unguarded, with almost no barriers by the virtue of righteouness that would otherwise be present. Dishonesty unknowingly becomes a consequence of a person's drive for a better result. It is only when the person regains its normal state of mind and rationality that he realise dishonesty has taken the better of him. Are such people entirely dishonest?
I guess its still yes, and a pure dishonest person would definitely be a person who deliberately lies to cover up the truth. Some thoughts after the 50% design test, where lack of surveillance gave everyone a small avenue for dishonesty.

Katong delicacies
Katong rojak, katong nasi lemak and otah. Heavenly i must say. Short of laksa as i figured it'll be kinda soggy when i reach home. Actually short of a lot of more good food. Haha the best thing was I just ponned my business lecture to get all these food and to go for a haircut at katong, with tomorrow's 50% design test looming damn near. Far from prepared too. Die lah
Anyway katong is really one of the best places in Singapore.. the amount of good food u can find there is amazing. I can find myself walking down the whole katong stretch of shophouses and not deciding what to eat cos it seems that the food gets better as you continue walking. And the number of food outlets always increase, never decreasing.
Ok i'd better finish up all the food and take a short nap haha. Before the mugging continues.

CNY was quite enjoyable after all. Though no mahjong but the goodies and visit to yanwei's new 'mansion' kinda made it enjoyable. Yanwei's new house is so damn huge. Probably 5 min from chomps and not surprisingly, he just never fails to lose his directions haha. Watched wedding crashers at his place which was rather hilarious.. haha i must say the crashers are damn pro. Always ending up satisfied after each wedding.
Just went for NTU Open earlier today. eh or rather yesterday. Disappointing la i think out of 16, i'm probably like 10th or somewhere there. I think my wind sense sucks. Still lack of experience. And not to forget quite unlucky.. my board managed to tear yijun's 5m sail and he had to use a 4m sail eventually. Cos another ntu guy torn his sail too and took the one and only spare 5m sail. Felt super guilty and shouldnt have let the ntu guy use the spare sail, thinking that he'll return after the first race. But it was still quite fun and challenging, especially with the strong winds and currents in the late morning. Now feeling determined to train more to improve!
