These days I've been thinking of what lies ahead of me. I've had childhood ambitions like everyone else and those were really innocent ambitions. I wanted very much to be a pilot and a captain of a navy ship, as well as a wealthy person who could change the world haha.

I guess I never pursued any of those paths since i chose engineering at the end. Well I was thinking it through and my interest for aircrafts is still vividly present. I guess that's probably the direction I'll head, while looking for business ideas along the way. Ambitions change with age; people too. I wondered how much I've changed all these years and whether I'm still changing as a result of daily circumstances.

It's really really strange that while this is the 3rd week of school, I still have so much freedom in managing my time. Too much freedom for my own good. I even started writing poems! My mind always racing with random thoughts that has nothing to do with my fyp or projects. In the past, I'll be bothered by the neverending tutorials and assignments that will bog me down for the rest of the semester. This semester seems and feels different for some reason all my friends can't figure out why. Maybe we are all more slack than before. Haha. Or perhaps its just the feeling that we ought to do justice to our overworked souls after 3 years. Overworked?

Many people have fallen victim to heart failure recently. Hospital statistics are evidence. Even more recently the army officer. A few football players too. The culprit : diet, lifestyle or psychological?

Another of my random thoughts. I've never said this before but I'm thankful for my family and friends that have always been with me. Can't survive without them surely..

Ok i think that's enough of squandering time early in the morning on a boring post. Shall get going with work!

It's hard not to laze around on a Sunday night, knowing the next day is Monday. It's been another week of school and it'd have been dreadful if not for the things i do outside school. It was nice to meet up with my childhood neighbours earlier in the week, which really made me recall my childhood days as a 4, 5 year old boy bumming around my condo. Really glad that all of us are now grown up and leading reasonably happy lives in japan/singapore. Great seafood on monday too.

Crashed a lecture on Digital Photography on tues, and it turned out that it was my favourite lecture of the week. I think i have the most interest in that lecture though i'm not registered for that module, ironically. I think... i'll be crashing this lecture every week from now on. Haha.

I think this week i ran more than the distance i've covered in the last 1 year. Probably covered like 50km this week including today's AHM. And a participant passed away after completing his run. Just a year older than me. I think he overexerted and it's quite a sad thing.

Realised that recently, friday is now the day for a good dinner somewhere in town. Maybe it gives kind of a relief to a hard week spent in school.

Met up with some og friends from year 1 on saturday evening. Glad that everyone is leading rather happy student lives and its nice to catch up with one another after so long. And its interesting that almost everyone was in europe at approx the same time. Left early to rest for AHM today though.

I guess that's it. Helped kill my boredom a little. Haha.

First day of school. Got me inspired to post another entry to this almost defunct blog. I think it's because it's not the usual first day of school after every semester. It's the beginning of yet another year in NUS after my 8-month-long europe holiday fiesta. And i must say it was difficult convincing myself yesterday that the sad reality is just at my doorstep.

Walking around NUS today was kind of nostalgic somehow. Seemed really long ago that I last walked into a bazaar at the forum. And the trend changed already sia. SO MUCH FOOD. The library felt the same but RBR is on selfservice now. I wasn't aware so I happily still asked the librarian guy to help me get my book. It's also different when once-lecture-mates are now taking different elective modules with differing schedules. And today, officially, FYP has started for me.

Doesnt help that lots of deadlines were drawn on the first day too. Not used to having so many projects thrown at me for a while. Especially a tutorial presentation in 6 days time. And project discussion on wednesday. What a wake up call.

But I felt good today haha, for I again realised how happy it is to be a good bro. Sad to say it's been a long time since I've felt like a worthy brother, thanks to some good advice recently.
